CEEPUS (Central European Exchange Programme for University Studies) is a Central European student and academic staff exchange programme with its headquarters in Vienna, Austria. CEEPUS offers exchanges in the form of credit mobility, research visits, teaching provision, and so-called summer schools.
Member States
Since its establishment in 1994, most of the central, eastern and southeastern European countries have become members of CEEPUS: Albania, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia and Slovenia. More than 47,000 student and academic staff exchanges have been organised through this programme over the past 20 years. The third cycle of the CEEPUS programme (CEEPUS III) started on 1 May 2011 and and it is planned to last seven years.
