The Foundation Tempus has officially opened the Information Center in Belgrade, at Terazije 39, 1st floor, which will be available to citizens from October 2, from 10am to 6pm every working day.
The Information Center of the Foundation Tempus was officially opened by the Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development Mladen Sarcevic and the Director for Innovation, International Cooperation and Sport in the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture Antoaneta Angelova-Krasteva.
Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development Mladen Sarcevic stated that the Foundation Tempus has made an enormous step towards students, teachers, and all who want to educate, to make progress and experience the European mobility in terms of learning, working and sharing experiences.
– I am glad that all those involved in education in Serbia can come and visit this Information Center. I think it is very important that from this year high school students, pupils and schools can discover which opportunities are offered to them, pupils can share knowledge with their peers, and that we are approaching more to the EU – said Sarcevic.
Director for Innovation, International Cooperation and Sport Antoaneta Angelova-Krasteva said it was her pleasure to have the opportunity to open the Information Center.
– As you know, this year marks the 30th anniversary of the Erasmus + programme, one of the most popular and successful EU programmes. Serbia is at the top of the list by the number of users of this programme in the region and this number is growing year by year. Higher education institutions in Serbia will receive more than 44% of the funds from the budget allocated for the Western Balkans for this academic year – Angelova-Krasteva pointed out.
The Information Center will enable all interested individuals, higher education institutions and school representatives, youth and other institutions and organizations to get all the necessary information without an appointment in relation to education in Serbia and Europe, as well as the EU Erasmus+ programme.
Those interested will, among other things, be able to obtain information on opportunities for scholarship mobility (exchange), volunteer programs and youth exchanges, support in the application process in relation to the rules of the Erasmus+ and CEEPUS and its procedures, etc.
Those interested in career guidance and counseling will be able to get acquainted with the necessary resources and get the informative material from this field, as well as to get informed about the important aspects when making the choice of occupation or the enrollment of the school/faculty.
The Information Center will also be a place for getting the information about European networks (eTwinning, EPALE, Europass, Euroguidance, Eurydice), as well as about the Central European Exchange Program for University Studies – CEEPUS.
Individuals from all spheres of education will be able to get the information on the Foundation Tempus activities: conferences, seminars, trainings, webinars, info days, etc.
In the Information Center there will be a special package of services for informing foreign students staying on mobility in the Republic of Serbia.
